Then in honor of these cupcakes inhabitants are the: American Cupcakes, and it is impossible not to love them, apart from having created these delights, they invented the Kitchen Aid and there are many cheaper than here0 I want to live in America and have many Kitchen Aid of all colors and be one of the girls in Sex and the City, go shopping in NY and have a snack in Magnolia’s Bakery … Is it a lot to ask?

And putting my feet on the ground I console myself with being a blonde, my name is Jessica as Sara Jessica Parker, I can walk around Madrid, go shopping in Zara and have a snack in my own Magnolia’s Bakery (My kitchen that’s why I make cupcakes and I’m sure mine are more rich jejeje)

For these cupcakes, I used the basic vanilla dough. (7 cupcakes)

  • 100 grams of screened flour
  • 80 grams of Sugar
  • 60 grams of butter
  • 1 egg Xl
  • 2 teaspoons of chemical yeast
  • a trickle of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 yogurt or 3 tablespoons of Buttermilk
  • Red, blue and white coloring

Preheat the oven to 180º minimum 20 minutes. Prepare the mold of cupcakes with the capsules or paper for cupcakes.

Beat the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the egg, the vanilla extract, the flour and the buttermilk or yogurt. Beat until the mixture is homogeneous.

Divide the sponge cake into 3 and add one part of blue, one of Red and one part of the white.

We introduce the 3 colors in the capsules intercalating. And put in the oven for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out completely clean.

We take out of the oven and let cool 5 min. in the mold. Then we transfer the cupcakes to a rack to cool completely.

For the buttercream we need:

  • 85 grams butter at room temperature (not melted, soft but consistent)
  • 185 grams of Azucar glass (best icing sugar)
  • a trickle of vanilla extract
  • 1 spoonful of milk

Beat all the ingredients for 1 minute at low speed and then at high speed for 3 to 4 minutes or until we see that our buttercream all the consistency similar to that of an ice cream.

We divide the buttercream into 3 parts and dye red, white and blue.

We take a little fondant tinted red and blue and with the help of a star cutter we make the stars.

To decorate the cupcakes I used the nozzle No. 22, for the stars of the flag use the nozzle No. 16 and red and blue sprinkles.

And look what monkeys have left me hehe! ayyy but I’m going to say about myself obvious that good things always.

Well, what’s said, live the Americans! For such a beautiful and delicious creation

Finally, although 1 day has passed, I do not want to stay without saying Happy 4th of July! and wait for me when I go to NY I promise to be the Jessica Parker of Sex and the City and sit down and have a cupcake at Magnolia’s Bakery! ayyyy that emotion just thinking about it .
