Pork ribs with barbecue sauce
These ribs are for licking your fingers. They are very easy to prepare. We give you the steps for roasted ribs on the outside and juicy inside. As an accompaniment, you can add some French fries and a little salad.
1.5 kilos of pork ribs
240 milliliters of barbecue sauce
Salt and pepper
Split the ribs in two and salt.
Put the ribs in the oven tray, previously lined with aluminum foil or baking sheet, and spread the top side with barbecue sauce.
Put in the oven at 180º C for 20 minutes.
After that time, turn them over, spread the top with barbecue sauce and introduce them in the oven for another 20 minutes at the same temperature.
Repeat the operation again, but this time leaves them in the oven 10 minutes on each side.
The ‘ corn dog’ is a sausage skewered on a skewer and surrounded by a cornbread as a spongy breaded. They have a delicious flavor and have an advantage that hot dogs do not have. They can be eaten with one hand. Also, you can dip them in any sauce. Do you want to know how they are made?
½ kilo of sausages.
½ cup of normal flour
½ cup of cornmeal (not Maizena)
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 teaspoons of yeast
175 milliliters of milk
Sunflower oil, salt, and pepper
Clean the sausages with paper towels so that the dough adheres better.
Insert a skewer, lengthwise, into each of the sausages.
On the other hand, in a bowl mix the normal flour, cornmeal, sugar, yeast, salt, and pepper.
Add the eggs, milk, and oil, and beat everything. If the mixture is a little liquid add flour until it thickens.
But the sausages in the dough, making sure that it does not drip and fry them in abundant hot oil, turning the sausage so that it is evenly browned.
When they have finished frying, place the sausages on kitchen paper to absorb the excess fat.
New York Cheesecake
This American classic has the creamy and smooth consistency of the cheese, the crunchy biscuit and the sweet contrast of berries. A perfect ending to any meal. For its preparation you will need the following:
For the base: A packet of cookies and 85 grams of butter.
For the filling: 900 grams of cream cheese (Philadelphia type), 200 milliliters of Greek yogurt, 250 grams of sugar, 3 eggs, grated lemon, 3 tablespoons of pastry flour and a pinch of vanilla.
For the raspberry sauce: 300 grams of raspberries, juice of half a lemon, a sheet of gelatin and 3 tablespoons of sugar.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees so that it warms up while you prepare the cake.
Put baking paper in the base of the mold, to be able to be removable and of 20 or 23 cm.
Mix the melted butter with the crushed cookies, until the mixture is well moistened.
Place this mixture in the bottom of the mold pressing well and place in the freezer while you prepare the filling of the cheesecake.
For the filling, mix the cheese, sugar, and flour with the mixer at medium speed until it is a light and homogeneous mixture.
Incorporate the eggs one by one at minimum speed and then add the Greek yogurt, the lemon zest, and the vanilla extract, whisking very softly.
Pour the filling on the base of biscuits that you had prepared previously and introduce it in the oven 200º for 10 minutes.
Lower the oven temperature to 90º and leave 30 minutes more. In this way, the inside of the cake will look like a flan. Once the time has passed, leave the cheesecake in the oven for several hours, until it reaches room temperature.
Insert the cake in the refrigerator.
Finally, to make the raspberry sauce, hydrate the gelatin leaf in a glass of cold water for 5 minutes.
In a separate saucepan, heat the raspberries washed with the lemon juice and sugar.
Stir constantly, grinding the raspberries at the same time.
When the raspberry sauce is very hot and crushed to your liking, add the gelatin well-drained, stirring until it is completely dissolved.
Distribute the raspberry sauce on the cake and put it back in the fridge.
